Face value
the theme i explored was face value, my first thoughts about this theme werent good because i did not like takint photographs of myself. but as we went on i quiet enjoyed it because i could take photographs of other people.
my ideas and feelings changed in a way of my feelings were quite negative so i didnt give myself that time for my ideas to grow. the photographers i researched in face value were Nico Froehlich, Tyler Mitchell, Rankin and cindy sherman and i discovered these photographers from learning about them in class ive learnt from studying their work how to really capture the person in a photograph and whats meant to be the main focus.

the experiments I did face value were colour cut photos and photo grams i also used a website called photopea.
Constructed landscapes
the theme i explored was Constructed landscapes, my first thoughts were positive ones because i love taking photos of nature etc. and my ideas just grew and grew the photographers i researched were Liz Nielsen, Geraldo de Barros, Uts Barth, Dafna Talmor, Dionne Lee, Vanessa March. I chose Vanessa March as inspiration for my final piece. i discovered them from class and by doing my own research and looking on the tallis photography website.
the experiments i carried out were using photoshop to layer 2-4 different images i took to make them overlap and make a quite trippy look, i also would do the same but had them in blsck and white, after photoshop i printed them out and made them into acetate and got cyanotype paper and made cyanotypes of my images i made like 7 of these and i am proud of them. the decisions i made was how carry out my experiment after i finished using photoshop. my experiment has became more sophisticated over time by trial and error. the most challenging part of working like this was really having to breach out of my comfort zone and having to become more creative i changed along the way being way more open minded when it came to how to make my photographs beautiful.
i have used my website to record the progress of my thinking and making was by taking photos along the way of my experiments and putting them on my website with evaluations. ive designed my online exhibition page in a way to show my work also as the background and showed it in a abstract way.
my final outcome was my cyanotypes they were of 2-4 photographs layered over each other and when put with the cyanotype paper i overlapped some objects on it to make it look more natural and i also added bleach to some when washing them off
i was hoping to create the cyanotypes which i accomplished. i think i successfully explored my theme because i had my landscape photographs and i constructed them by overlapping them with other photographs. if i had more time i wouldve liked to make a book of all my cyanotypes. what is personal about my work is that all of these photographs were taken when i was out with family, i hope viewers will be able to look how beautiful nature is
