In this video she talks about how she wants to make a utopian space , a space that doesn't exist. and how she makes these photos is by cutting them up and rearranging them with other photographs to make that 'utopian space' that doesn't exist by maybe putting a photograph of a mountain over one of a beach so it looks like an amazing place but its not real and how she puts certain filters to makes the cut up lines is so beautiful and she goes about making her slides she's very focused and does much detail as with a pen she carefully draws where she's gonna cut out and everything, so i think my way i can do better in is instead of just randomly cutting and actually think about what i do before i do it, and also instead of randomly cutting up different colours and sticking them on i should think about it carefully so it doesn't look like a mess.

What i think i need to improve with my slides is that how i've cut randomly instead of thinking about how i want to do it and i haven't overlayed any to make a new landscape , and i think instead of cutting the film randomly and putting in anywhere i should once again think about how i want it laid out etc. So overall i think i just need to think about what i do and not randomly do it. and i also think when i cut i shouldn't put them back together as far away as i did, and instead of doing little things with the scratching i should do it a lot more. |
in this video Dionne Lee takes multiple landscapes looking like there from a magazine , and cutting and putting different ones over each other to make a collage and doing multiple different types every time making an constructive landscapes. this video made me feel very confused but also its quite relaxing with the sounds |
